PVBS Offering Frequently Selected by High-Growth Government Contractors that both Sell Products and Offer Services to the Federal Government
Reston, VA (December 18, 2007) – Pleasant Valley Business Solutions (PVBS), Microsoft’s leading provider of government contractor ERP, financial management and project accounting solutions, announced that its Microsoft Dynamics NAV for Government Contractors is perfectly suited for the 62 government contractors that were named as winners for the GSA Alliant Small Business Government-wide Acquisition Contract this week. The 62 companies were named from a competitive pool of more than 140 bidders. The number of awardees exceeded many industry insider estimates.
According to the GSA web site, “The Alliant Small Business Government-wide Acquisition Contract (Alliant SB GWAC) is a competitive multiple award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity set-aside small business contract. The contract is designed to provide worldwide information technology solutions to federal agencies while strengthening opportunities in federal contracting for small businesses.” The Alliant SB contract, which has a five-year base period with a five-year option, will offer streamlined access to a broad range of management and technical support services. Small businesses will be able to sell complex information technology solutions under a pre-competed, multiple award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, GSA said.
Bernard Mustafa, CEO and President at PVBS said, “Companies that were awarded a piece of this contract are in a position of growth and would be prime candidates for Dynamics NAV for Government Contractors, which is ideal for companies that offer services and also sell products to the government.”
Mustafa said that Dynamics NAV is the only software solution that is fully functional for government contractors that sell products, provide services, or both to the Federal Government and that most of the products on the market can only do one or the other.
“In Dynamics NAV, the capabilities for companies that sell products are wide ranging and include features such as very robust inventory, sales, and warehouse management functionality. For companies that offer services to the government, the solution is fully DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) compliant and can support any type of contract the company may have, such as fixed price, cost plus or time and materials. All elements of the solution are completely integrated as all of the data is stored in the same MS SQL database,” said Mustafa.
PVBS has helped high-growth government contractors move from less functional applications such as QuickBooks and legacy programs such as Deltek GCS Premier to Microsoft Dynamics NAV over the past few years. For example, Oberon Associates, which has been recognized as the 2007 fastest growing government contractor by Washington Technology magazine, became a PVBS customer in 2006 when the company’s fast growth was quickly exceeding the limited capabilities of its QuickBooks accounting application.
